At NRR 26, these passive (non-electronic) ear muffs are well suited to hunting and light range shooting. They can be combined with a set of foam ear plugs, worn underneath the ear muffs, to provide dual protection from noise, raising the estimated NRR up to 32. Remember that the longer the noise exposure, the more risk of hearing damage - so for longer shooting sessions, particularly at indoor ranges, really consider the dual protection method.
